Bold black and silver-grey lines sweep across a circular composition of ivory tiles, creating a dynamic interplay between geometry, movement and fragmentation. The work transforms a familiar element of Lisbon’s architectural heritage into a striking contemporary wall piece.
The composition incorporates original early 20th-century azulejos produced by Fábrica Desterro Lisboa and salvaged during the renovation of a Lisbon building. Reassembled in a circular form, the historic tiles become the surface for a mixed-media intervention that connects their material memory with a new graphic language.
The work was created by 3TWINS for Casa Aether by AB+AC Architects as part of the LDW26 programme.
