Terms of service

The LDW Edit is a curated cultural platform operated by From My City Unipessoal Lda / Lisbon Design Week (“LDW”) to promote and facilitate the sale of selected works by independent designers and makers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, LDW is not the seller of the works presented on The LDW Edit. The seller of each work is the designer or maker identified on the relevant product page (“the Designer”).

By purchasing a work through The LDW Edit, the purchaser enters into a contract for the sale of that work with the Designer. LDW curates the selection, presents and promotes the works, facilitates the ordering and payment process and may assist with communications between the purchaser and the Designer.

Payment may be collected through the LDW online checkout on behalf of the Designer. The fact that payment is processed through the LDW website does not, in itself, make LDW the seller of the work.

The Designer remains responsible, as applicable, for the description and conformity of the work, its availability, appropriate packaging, dispatch and delivery, and for the legal obligations arising from the sale of the work.

LDW will use reasonable efforts to facilitate communication and assist in resolving any issue arising in connection with a purchase but does not assume the obligations of the Designer as seller.

Unique Works and Availability

The LDW Edit primarily presents unique pieces and works produced in very limited quantities. Availability is therefore strictly limited.

Although LDW takes reasonable steps to keep availability information up to date, in the exceptional event that a work is no longer available after an order has been placed, the purchaser will be informed promptly and any amount paid for the unavailable work will be refunded.

Delivery

Delivery or collection arrangements are specific to each work and are governed by The LDW Edit Delivery Policy and any additional information appearing on the relevant product page.

Returns and Consumer Rights

Any statutory rights applicable to the purchaser are unaffected by these Terms.

Where mandatory consumer protection legislation grants a purchaser a right of withdrawal, cancellation, return, refund, repair or replacement, such rights will apply notwithstanding anything in these Terms.

As the Designer is the seller of the work, requests concerning returns, conformity, defects or other seller obligations will be handled with the Designer, with LDW facilitating communication where appropriate.
